Who is Kylee Keele?

I am Kylee Keele. I am the oldest daughter of six. That’s right, six girls in one family, and no boys. I am married to the best person in the whole world and have the best family! I am in my senior year of college at Utah Valley University, majoring in digital marketing. I love family time, food and fun! I am an introverted extrovert and love planning events and parties! I have always been a perfectionist, and look for the fun things in life.
What is it like to be in a family of all girls?

The most common question I am ever asked is this, what is it like to be in a family of all girls. My dad always says he is swimming in an estrogen ocean, and I usually say, just imaging 6 girls, 2 bathrooms, and 30 minutes to get ready. Life at my parents house is full of energy and excitement. There is always some sort of dance party going on and glitter is not uncommon. Emotions are high and love is fierce. Your clothes aren’t yours and their clothes aren’t theirs. We share everything and stand up for each other. Being in a family of girls is my favorite, and I wouldn’t change it for anything.

How is the family dynamic as the girls grow up and move away?

When I moved away for college, I was so nervous to find out what it would be like without my parents and sisters. It turns out that it wasn’t that different. Both my sister Whitney and I are married and living away from home, and it is actually so much fun! We get to go home and visit and make memories with our family AND our husbands! Our little sisters love our husbands and we are so happy that is it that way! The way my parents had children made for two groups of girls, one set of three, and then five years later, another set. I love getting to hang out with my younger sisters and watch them grow up!
How did you meet your husband?

Slate and I started dating during our sophomore year of high school. Growing up in a small town, we had gone to school together since pre-k! It all started when we sat together in World Civilizations, we did a group project together and then decided we wanted to be each other’s best friend forever! After our senior year of high school, Slate decided to serve an LDS mission and I moved away to college. I waited and dated while Slate was gone, and when he got back, we were still in love! We got married in March 2018 and have loved every second of it!
